Broadcasting 24/7/365 from Streetsboro High School, 88.9/WSTB is a non-commerical educational FM radio station that covers the Greater Akron area from Wadsworth to Youngstown and Canton to Cleveland. According to national radio ratings, over 35,000 people tune in each week to listen to alternative rock from the 90s to present on The Alternation, Monday through Saturday, and rock 'n' roll oldies from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s on the Sunday Oldies Jukebox.
Beyond our FM broadcast, 88.9/WSTB has many other programs. Rocket Radio streams play-by-play for Streetsboro High School sports including boys and girls basketball, football, and baseball. Our podcast center covers the latest in alternative rock, all Streetsboro High School sports, and Streetsboro community news. Our weather center covers local weather for Portage and Summit counties throughout the day. Finally, our alumni association keeps our graduates engaged, even from as far back as the start of WSTB in 1972.

At 88.9/WSTB, we offer students an educational facility dedicated to cultivating skills and experience in on-air and internet broadcasting, programming, promotions, business management, and engineering. Our goal is to create a professional atmosphere where students can gain hands-on experience, preparing them to use these skills in their future careers in broadcasting and various other professions. As we provide music, entertainment, and information to our listening community, we strive to foster a dynamic learning environment for our students.
